Johnny Ashby is back in his new EP ‘In Bloom,’ released on Friday, August 21st and is already turning heads. Ashby’s arena ready anthem’s make you envision a live show and bring inspiration and cheerfulness in a time of much needed positivity. The perfect EP for Summer 2020.
The 5 track project brings feelings of hope, nostalgia, and friendship. It’s co-written and produced by Fredrik Eriksson, Sebastian Fritze and Bill Delia from the band Grizfolk.
“Inspired by the likes of David Bowie, Kings of Leon, Coldplay and Damon Albarn, Ashby aims to create music following a similar path of thinking outside the box. His sound blends the best of his childhood favourites, with the intention of being performance worthy. Ashby explains, “When I write I imagine what the songs would be like live, that’s what’s most important to me. That’s what I’m aiming for.””
